Polylactic Acid (PLA)

Polylactic Acid (PLA) is derived from agriculture renewable resources like corn starch or sugarcane. The production in PLA consists of low greenhouse emission. It significantly reduce the carbon footprint by 75% and contribute less harm to the environment and human beings. PLA food packaging products have similar characteristic to oil-based plastic products supporting mostly warm to cold foods. Therefore, PLA polymers are being strengthen into CPLA in order to withstand higher heat temperature.

Polylactic Acid (PLA) and Crystalized Polylactic Acid (CPLA) are certified as commercially compostable and biodegradable that only produce water vapor and oxygen during compost.
